Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year

I am so sorry it has been so long in posting.  I am back among the working force  once again.  That's why I have been gone so long.............  There was no other way we could have made it as things have been bleak around here but I am sure most of you are experiencing the same thing.  I still will  be creating I would never give that gift up it will just be mainly selling to the little shop in Dade City Florida I had to close my booth as I couldn't do both and work full time. 

I will up date my blog with new pictures after the holidays.  I will be working on Valentine items and hope to show you as soon as I can.

I hope and pray that all of you have a glorious holiday season and a wonderful New Year......  I am looking for a better New Year and I wish that for all of you................. Take time for each other and try not to work to hard and get stressed out..............  Remember we are only one person and all we can do is our best.........

Booth Pictures

Hi Everyone,

Busy End to September

Hello Everyone,

I have just update my blog.  It's been a long time coming.  Please let me know what you think.....

Boy it has been such a busy September for me and I am sure for all of you.  Creating is such a wonderful and exhausting experience.  Do you  feel when you are creating there is this kinda rush and when finished with all of your accomplishments you stand there taking it all in admiring it with wild excitement and then the big drain.  You are so tired but somehow you manage to think of more things to create or could create or not enough on a piece or you need to tweak it a little more and you drive yourself crazy to think you left something out................eeek!!!!!   Boy we are such a mess!  At least that is how I feel.

I have posted some new things for sale on my picture trail.  Please go and take a look and let me know what you think.  Being new to all this my pictures are not so great maybe in time I will be as good as most of you with displaying my items.  Any advise would be appreciated......

Fall Blessings

Fall Blessings to All.  Don't you just love this picture.  I took it a couple of years ago when my sister and I went to Vermont.  It was so beautiful there.  My heart and prayers go out to that beautiful state and all the people.   I wish them all the best in their recovery from all of the floods.  Since I live in Florida these colors are what I miss most.  I hope someday I can get up there again.

Sorry I have been such a bad blogger.  My life this Summer has been a rough road but hopefully things will get better soon.  I have started to create again and have been busy getting things completed for the shops I sell to.  I will take pictures and post as soon as I am finished.  I hope everyone is well out there.  I am getting excited about the fall season this  will be my light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I love to create things and this is my passion and when I am not doing so I feel like I am in a fog.  Do you guys feel this way.  I would love to hear from you.  Let me know what your passions are.  This old world has a way of getting to you and clouding up the clear pictures of  your life but if you hang in there something comes along and changes the light.  Maybe that is why we have changes in seasons the restart of  our lights.  I hope your lights are shinning bright today!

I'm Back

Boy it has been such a long time since my last post.  I have been busy and have had a lot of bumps in the road.  It has been a hot and sticky summer but in Florida we are use to that.


 I just became a Great Aunt again I think this is number 9 or 10 I can't keep track but here he is:

Here are some new things I have been working on:

This is Ida Clair and her cat olive.  She is a large doll with a gusseted head.  Ida is completely rag stuffed for that old feel and stained and sanded for that primitive look. Her face is hand stitched using cotton thread and she is wearing a muslin shirt with an old print skirt and a osnaburg belt.  Olive the cat is made of old linen that is rag stuffed and stained her face is all hand stitched she also has a tail made out of an old rag rug.  If anyone is interested please e-mail me or go to my picture trail.  I will be putting some new things on etsy and my picture trail soon!

Sorry so long in posting

Here are some new little best friends that I just made they are so cute.  I just love their hair they are ready for the day!

Sorry so long in posting guys!  I just have been real busy getting orders out.....  My husband is out looking for a job today please send prayers.  I am just hoping he gets one.  It's so hard to have to start over at our age. The job situation in Florida is not that great but hopefully that will change soon, at least that's what the powers that be are saying.   I want to be able to create full time and hopefully I will..... This has been a hard year and a half for us financially...... I am sure you all have experienced this too....... I want to really make a go of selling my creations and would appreciate any help any of you seasoned sellers can give.  Sometimes I feel like the 3 steps forward 2 steps back girl but must persevere..... I just love to create it just gets my juices flowing.......and I am so blessed to be able to do this.  I just hope I can make a living at it as well....  Sorry to be so gloomy...... I would appreciate if  you would put my blog out there on yours and I will do the same.  I have been following all they great  primitive blogs that I can so maybe we can network together.....I am new to all of this so let me know if I am on the right track.   Well hope all of you have a wonderful Tuesday.

Great Little Shop

Good Morning All! 

Just got back from a great little trip to Pigeon Forge Tennessee.  My husband attends the Parker Knife Shows there and I do some great shopping after I drop him off.  While I was there I visited a great little primitive shop that I always go to when in Pigeon Forge. The shop is Rebeccas Thyme off of Wears Valley Road in Pigeon Forge.   The owner is Rebecca she is such a sweet lady and her shop is just wonderful. She carries all kinds of primitive things for your home. Prayers

Our thoughts and prayers for the people of the Midwest for all the tragic devastating damage and loss of life.  This has been a terrible year for tornado's and many people have suffered.... please pray for their strength to get through these horrible days to come.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday.  Hope you will all stay safe.....

New Items

Good Morning All!

Here are some new creations I will be adding to my picture trail and to Etsy.  If you have a minute. stop over and take a look!  I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday.... Going over to spend some time with my Mom today.  She is 88 years old and not getting around like she use to and she's not very happy about that.  She says it's awful when your body is 88 and your mind thinks your 40...... Funny I feel like that too!!!!!!  What about you??????

Good News!

Well I got my good news..... And I am so excited and nervous at the same time.  I just hope I can handle all the work between making things for the shop in Dade City and my booth In Oviedo, but I know I will because I just love what I do.  I hope I can continue this journey for a long time to come, financially speaking, after be a working professional for over 35 years and running other people's business's and now starting mine.  There are a lot of things to think about but If I don't try I will never know if I can.  I have wanted to do this for years and at this stage of life it's now or never.

Hi Everyone...... This has been such a lovely day in Florida.  The weather has been a little cooler thank heavens.  We have been in such a hot pattern (yeah I know it Florida) but for May it's been hot.  I worked a little in my gardens this morning planting Sunflower seeds.  Don't you just love them they make me smile..........

 We lost our wonderful Woody last week is was around 16 years old a Main coon just the sweetest cat.  So over his resting place I planted Sunflowers since he so looked forward to being in the yard in the shade.  Funny how quite the house seems with him gone even though he wasn't a very verbal cat.  He just was a special friend.......  The other 2 cats we have are missing him too!  There will never be another Woody...... Rest in Peace big fellow until me meet again!!!!  On a happier note some news has come my way of maybe another potential customer.  We will see how it works out!  I hope you all are having a joyous day!

 Do something nice for yourself and plant Sunflowers!
